itc Solution Upgrades MBIP Command Center for Smart Government
Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri (MBIP), with a mission to provide a peaceful, prosperous, and competitive living environment for all residents, integrates advanced technology into public services to accelerate comprehensive urban development, establishing a distinctive and respected city.
A cornerstone of this initiative is the newly operational Iskandar Puteri Command and Control Centre (IPCCC). Designed to enhance governmental efficiency and responsiveness, the IPCCC serves as a centralized nerve center for the entire municipal area, monitoring security, traffic, environmental quality, infrastructure, and natural disasters in real time.
Within this critical facility, the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) has been transformed into a collaborative hub that connects various departments. To realise this vision of seamless operational intelligence, MBIP partnered with itc to deploy a comprehensive suite of audiovisual systems, integrating paperless conference system, professional sound system, digital conference system, central control system, etc.
Technology Highlight
The core of the collaborative workspace is itc Paperless Conference System, designed for high confidentiality and operational reliability. The system can integrate with OA platform and remote video conference system and supports vital meeting functions such as secure access control, document browsing, handwritten annotation, meeting discussion, electronic voting, meeting minutes, file sharing, and backend management. During meetings, participants can quickly browse documents with a simple touch on the screen, zoom in and out for clarity, and directly annotate or sign agenda items on the display. This streamlined digital workflow significantly saves time and effort, fully meeting the requirements for standardized and efficient government meetings.
To ensure every participant's idea is conveyed clearly and accurately, itc deployed desktop digital conference units. Equipped with high-sensitivity gooseneck microphones, these units enable precise long-distance audio pickup. The chairman unit is fully integrated with the conference platform, supporting features like speaking priority, discussion management, voting, and attendance registration, thereby ensuring efficient meetings with procedural clarity.
itc designed and installed a professional sound system. Employing ceiling speakers as the main sound reinforcement, the system provides an even sound field while maintaining a clean and aesthetically pleasing spatial layout. The system is optimized using a power amplifier and audio processor to achieve exceptional voice clarity and high-fidelity sound reproduction, ensuring clear communication during daily operations.
A unified itc central control system integrates all core equipment within the center, enabling one-touch control of audio, video, power, and environment via tablet terminals. The introduction of the control system not only optimizes meeting organization procedures but also significantly reduces reliance on manual meeting support, enhancing the administration's ability to coordinate meeting resources.
